Privacy policy
Your contact details and exact location do not need to be public to make a useful connection.
Information we collect
We use your account email, display name, account type, listings, uploaded photos, approximate location, messages, saved listings and reports to operate the marketplace. Firebase Authentication manages login credentials. We do not store your password in our application database.
What other members can see
Active listings show your display name, account type, material information, approximate area and photos. Your email is not included in listing data. Message contents are restricted to conversation participants through server authorization. Authorized operators can investigate reports and security incidents.
Location and photos
Location permission is optional and only requested when you use a location action. Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before storage. This still identifies a neighborhood; omit coordinates if that is sensitive. Photos are re-encoded to remove embedded metadata. Avoid including addresses or personal information in photos or descriptions.
Device storage and service providers
Authentication uses browser storage to maintain your session. Optional text drafts are stored on your current device. Google Firebase provides authentication, database and file storage. We do not enable advertising trackers or analytics cookies in this build.
Retention and deletion
You can remove listings and photos, and request account deletion in settings. A deletion request disables your account for operator processing. Security reports and audit records may require limited retention. Specific retention periods and the operator’s privacy contact must be confirmed before public launch.
